A situationship I’d called off ended up randomly seated next to me, months later, at a comedy show. We ignored each other—he was with friends, I was with a friend and her dad.

On the way out, he shoulder-checked me and kept walking. I didn’t say anything, mostly because of who I was with. But the moment stayed with me as I wondered what, exactly, brought him to do that.

The grand conclusion—He experienced our relationship differently than I did—became this short film: two strangers forced to confront what a casual connection really means once it’s no longer convenient.

It didn’t feel finished on the page, so we expanded it into something bigger—a broader conversation about modern dating, featuring host Janae Price, experts, and real voices.

And yes—this is also my not-so-subtle way of reaching a wider audience (and securing more funding).
